Satellite connectivity for permanent sites.
A fixed VSAT (Very Small Aperture Terminal) system provides a two-way satellite link at a permanent location. It can connect branch offices, remote facilities and field bases where terrestrial connectivity is limited. EgyptSat’s VSAT portfolio includes iDirect Evolution technology for IP-based services.
How it fits your project
A deployment combines an outdoor antenna and radio equipment with an indoor modem and a suitable satellite service. Antenna size, frequency band, modem, capacity and network integration are selected for the location and applications. Evolution supports adaptive coding and modulation and traffic prioritization; the capabilities delivered depend on the equipment and service configuration.
Typical applications
- Business internet, email and access to company applications
- Voice and video traffic, with bandwidth planned for the workload
- Remote-site integration with an existing corporate network
